For the exchange of our ideas and thoughts about future concepts and strategies for Southeast Europe, which took place as an open discussion in an informal frame, the German Southeast Europe Association (Suedosteuropa-Gesellschaft) together with the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited a selected circle of approx. 30 experts and decision-makers from the USA, international organisations (EU, OSCE), the Stability Pact for Southeast Europe and Germany.
We regard it as very important that especially the German-American dimension of the dialog should continue, since the co-operation between the Federal Republic of Germany and the USA especially on the Balkans has repeatedly proven to be an important stabilisation component.
